What Is Your Intention Around Time?

time passing

Kind of a funny question, isn’t it, I mean, time is just there, it just is…… it’s going to pass by whether we do anything about it of not.

Do you constantly feel overwhelmed – like there’s just too much to do and never enough time to get there?

You might want to take a look at what you are telling yourself about the time you have.

If you say to yourself that you have plenty of time,

that time is on your side,

that you always have enough time to do what you need to do,

you will have much more ease around the way you are spending your time.

Stress, tension and being busy, do not bring you what you want, so here’s another question for you;

Can you find a way to enjoy what you’re doing, even if it’s not your perfect ideal life?

Is there something in your current circumstances that brings you joy?

Focus on it, keep your eyes on those things that make you feel good, on your way to getting to where you really want to be.

I know what you might be thinking…..

Have you ever been told that if you are happy where you are that you will stay where you are?

You know, that you have to have that dissonance, that tension between what you want and where you are now so that it can kind of pull you into your future?

BS, well, not total BS, but it’s incomplete – what you focus on expands, so you won’t be focusing on what you don’t like, you’ll focus on what brings you joy in the situation, so you can have more joy.

Ok, you ask, what does this have to do with time?

A lot!

One of the keys that I have found to multiply my time is to enjoy what I’m doing, whatever the task.

It may be something I would rather outsource, or an activity that does not use my skills, or in some other way, could be considered a “waste of time”.

But instead of seeing it as a time-waster, I find something in it to enjoy. After all, if I’ve decided to do it, I may as well enjoy it, right?

This will begin to give you your control back. It also has you paying attention to what makes you happy, so you can have more of what makes you happy.

As a Bonus;

You just might get a big dose of inspiration while you’re doing that thing, with joy, so that you know just how to pass it on to someone else!

But if the focus is something like “I hate it, but it has to get done” then, time just wastes away, and worse, your energy that goes out, brings you more to get done, that you don’t like to do.

One small shift in attitude can bring you powerful control over your time.

If you’re ready for a whole new paradigm around your relationship with time, let’s talk.
